Soï 28 by Stefan Heilemann

Zurich, 4 December, 2025

With the opening of “Soï 28 by Stefan Heilemann”, the Widder Hotel is expanding its culinary offering with a new urban restaurant concept: authentic Asian street and soul food, reinterpreted with the precise gourmet signature of Michelin-starred chef Stefan Heilemann.

Behind the name “Soï 28” lies a tribute to the vibrant side streets (Soï) of Bangkok and the historic house number 28 on Augustinergasse in Zurich. Here, guests experience Stefan Heilemann’s personal interpretation of Asian street food – with the same precision and passion for ingredients that have already earned him 18 GaultMillau points and two Michelin stars.

“Soï 28 is meant to be a place where you immediately feel comfortable – unpretentious, accessible, and full of flavor. Street food with heart, but in the quality we live at the Widder,” says Stefan Heilemann.

Soul food that connects – with products from the region The menu combines well-known classics and distinctive signature dishes: from Thai Beef Salad, homemade Gyoza, or the Pork Belly Bun to “Soï 28 Ramen,” aromatic Fried Rice, modern Tom Yum, or “Miguel’s legendary Suckling Pig” for sharing. Desserts such as Pandan Crème Brûlée or Japanese Mochi round off the menu. Whenever possible, the ingredients come from The Living Circle’s own farms – combining Asian flavors with a conscious regional connection.

Head Chef Miguel Marques – the face of Soï 28 The realization of the culinary vision lies with Head Chef Miguel Marques. He is responsible for the operational concept, the further development of the dishes, and shapes the straightforward, precise style of Soï 28. His open, accessible manner is meant to reflect the character of the restaurant: a place to arrive, share, and enjoy.

A new culinary accent for the Widder Hotel and The Living Circle Soï 28 complements the existing offerings of the Widder Hotel – from the Widder Restaurant to the Widder Bar and AuGust – with a modern, relaxed concept. At the same time, it reinterprets The Living Circle’s philosophy in a contemporary way: “With Soï 28, we are creating a place where lightness, quality, and our idea of enjoyment come together. It fits perfectly with our vision of ‘luxury fed by nature’ and enriches our culinary portfolio in an ideal way,” says Benjamin Dietsche, General Manager of the Widder Hotel.

Reservations for Soï 28 can now be easily made online. For spontaneous visits, there is also an open Social Table that cannot be reserved and is deliberately kept for guests who wish to drop in without prior notice.
