Castello Del Sole

Sustainability

In addition to the fact that sustainability is now part and parcel of a first-class hotel, more and more of our guests are also paying attention to our Resort's commitment to sustainability - rightly and pleasingly so.

So please take a closer look and consciously realise how ecologically compatible, resource-conserving and environmentally friendly we act in our everyday business.

We endeavour to continuously improve ourselves in terms of meaningful sustainability.

  • Plastic Neutral

Thanks to a cooperation with CleanHub, The Living Circle is "plastic neutral." The hotels have systematically reduced single-use plastic. Where it is not substitutable, the single-use plastic is compensated through the cooperation with CleanHub.

  • Fundaziun Uccelin

The Living Circle supports the Fundaziun Uccelin of Sarah and Andreas Caminada . We donate a voluntary contribution of 2 Swiss francs per menu in each of our fine dining restaurants to the independent foundation.

  • myclimate «Cause We Care»

With your voluntary donation as part of the myclimate initiative "Cause We Care", you are actively contributing to the careful use of resources and the protection of the environment.

  • Responsible Hotels of Switzerland

Responsible Hotels of Switzerland take responsibility. A company-specific philosophy of ecological and social sustainability is applied by each hotel. Guests can enjoy their stay with a clear conscience.

  • ISO 14001

Environmentally friendly and sustainable hotel management is important to us, which is why we are ISO 14001 certified. The benefit is a reduced environmental footprint of the hotel, which contributes to a healthier environment.

  • Swisstainable

In Switzerland, the needs of guests, the local population and the environment have always been taken into account. This is an important concern for us.

  • SapoCycle

SapoCycle is a non-profit organisation that collects used soap from hotels and transforms it into life-saving products. The soaps are recycled by people with disabilities and then distributed to improve the hygiene of families in need.
