  • When you book directly through our website, you benefit from immediate booking confirmation, the widest available selection of rooms, and exclusive offers and packages. There are no additional costs or membership fees for booking directly.

    Our Best Price Guarantee applies if you find a lower rate on another website under identical conditions – meaning the same room category, dates, number of guests and booking terms. Voucher discounts, loyalty programme benefits and limited-time special offers are excluded.

  • Bergwelt Grindelwald offers 90 rooms and suites as well as Residences. The choice includes Essential King Rooms, Eiger View rooms, Deluxe King Rooms, Junior Suites, the Eiger View Spa Junior Suite with a private sauna and the Rooftop Deluxe Suite with a balcony.

    For stays with family or friends, the Bergwelt Duo Connect and Trio Connect rooms as well as the Alpine Panorama Residences are ideal. They offer up to three bedrooms, a living area, kitchen and balcony. Depending on the category, the accommodation can sleep up to six people.

  • Your room is ready for you from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 12.00 noon.

    If you arrive early, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us. Early check-in or late check-out is possible subject to availability and prior arrangement.

  • Yes, dogs are welcome at Bergwelt Grindelwald. Please book the pet package for your four-legged friend and let us know at the time of booking.

    Dogs are not permitted in the Fire & Ice SPA. Our team will be happy to answer any further questions about the areas your dog may access.

  • For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by public transport. Grindelwald is easy to reach by train, and Bergwelt is centrally located in the village.

    If you are travelling by car, you can drive directly to the hotel parking area. Detailed directions are available on our website. Our team will be happy to assist you with any questions about your journey.

  • Yes, on request our shuttle will collect you from Grindelwald railway station and take you back to the station at the end of your stay. Please let us know your arrival or departure time as early as possible so that we can organise the transfer for you.

  • Yes, Bergwelt Grindelwald has its own parking area. Parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance. If no space is available when you arrive, we will be happy to help you find an alternative in Grindelwald.

    An electric vehicle charging station is available in Parking P2. Charging costs CHF 0.66 per kWh and can be paid conveniently by credit card.

  • As individual needs vary considerably, we recommend contacting us directly before booking. Our team will be happy to provide information about the accessibility of the desired rooms, restaurants and public areas and discuss the best solution for your stay.

  • Access to the Fire & Ice SPA and fitness room is generally permitted from the age of 16. Our younger guests can use the indoor pool daily from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon during «Junior Explorers» time.

    Outside these hours, the SPA is a place of retreat for adults. The SPA is available to hotel guests as well as guests staying in our Residences and Luxury Chalets.

  • To ensure a relaxing experience for all guests, we kindly ask you to reserve a 90-minute time slot at the SPA reception when you arrive.

    No advance reservation is required for the «Uphill Only» fitness room. Treatments and services can be booked subject to availability.

  • The Fire & Ice SPA brings together contrasting elements and features four saunas, a textile steam bath, a heated indoor pool, a heated outdoor Jacuzzi, an ice fountain and a relaxation room with a fireplace.

    The facilities also include a textile-free sauna area, treatment rooms, the «Uphill Only» fitness room, the Mystic Atrium Garden and a private garden terrace. After a day in the mountains, you can find warmth, tranquillity, movement and renewed energy here.

  • Regular access to the Fire & Ice SPA is reserved for our hotel guests as well as guests staying in our Residences and Luxury Chalets. External guests can book treatments and services subject to availability.

    The «Uphill Only» fitness room is also open to external guests. You can purchase an admission ticket online. For information about available treatments or offers, please contact our SPA team directly.

  • Yes, all restaurants at Bergwelt Grindelwald are also open to external guests. Whether you would like to dine at BG’s Grill, raise a glass at The Seven Spirits Bar or stop by the Pinte, we recommend reserving your table in advance.

  • Bergwelt Grindelwald offers a range of places for culinary enjoyment and good company. At BG’s Grill, Urs Gschwend serves Casual Alpine Soul Food from the wood-fired grill. The Seven Spirits Bar invites you to enjoy signature cocktails, wines and relaxed evenings. The Other Club is our cigar lounge with a fireplace and humidor.

    In the Lobby, you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee and tea specialities. «Yuko Maki» combines Alpine history with the flavours and traditions of Japan. The traditional Pinte is a meeting place for locals and travelling adventurers. Almer’s complements the offering seasonally with a variety of fondue specialities.

  • The region’s mountain railways and ski areas are easily accessible from Bergwelt Grindelwald. Depending on your chosen ski area, you can take the mountain railways towards Grindelwald-First or Grindelwald-Wengen, including Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen, to reach the slopes.

    Our team will be happy to provide information about current operating hours, snow conditions and the best connection for your day on the slopes. Please note that the lifts and pistes in operation may change depending on the weather and season.

  • Ski passes for the Jungfrau Ski Region can be purchased online, at the mountain railway ticket offices or directly at the hotel. Different tickets and ski passes are available depending on the length of your stay and the ski area you plan to visit.

    Bergwelt Grindelwald also offers packages that include a ski pass. Our team will be happy to advise you on which ski pass best suits your plans.

  • Yes, you can rent the right equipment for your day on the slopes in Grindelwald. Bergwelt works with specialised partners, including Intersport. They offer advice and equipment for skiing, snowboarding and other winter activities.

    We recommend reserving your equipment in advance, especially during busy holiday periods. Our team will be happy to help you get in touch with the right partner and organise your rental.

  • Yes. Grindelwald offers numerous hiking and cycling routes with panoramic views, Alpine climbs and more technically challenging descents. E-mountain bikes are also welcome, and charging stations are available along various routes.
